PSYCHOTHERAPY / COUPLES WORK / FEES

Psychotherapy

I bring psychotherapeutic skills, you bring yourself and a desire to change. Together we commit to work in a mutual and respectful way. I will provide a safe, empathic and confidential space for you to work in. Your sessions are confidential and the pace of work varies depending on you and the issue you bring.

If appropriate, I will challenge you and provide a reality check or mirror for you to look into.

Psychotherapy can evoke a range of emotions, which is normal and, in most cases, necessary. The process can be hard but it can also offer hope and a new beginning.

My wide range of training enables me to adapt my core training approach in TA to fit with your needs.  I work predominantly long term with more complex client presentations or those seeking to do more in-depth work.  However, a wealth of experience in EAP referrals, coaching and simple trauma work means that I am able to work quickly and home in on key issues.

I offer a free half hour consultation to aide this up front assessment process which may involve me working with you or referring on to a colleague more able to meet your needs.

Couples Work

Relationships are key to our existence. Our lives have little meaning without them. Communication is at the heart of a good relationship and it here that I concentrate my couple work.

You may be in a happy relationship and feel the need to develop your communication channels or work on beliefs and aspirations. This can be really helpful if you are making a major commitment, such as moving in together, getting married and so on. You may want to revisit and re-energise your relationship if children are on the horizon or a major life change has occurred such as retirement or redundancy.

You may want support to explore painful subjects such as affairs, death of loved ones and sexual difficulties.

You may want to develop the level of emotional literacy between you and your partner, the amount of time you play together or to explore a more fulfiling sex life.

Whilst the work is generally aimed at couples, heterosexual or same sex, the techniques and approaches apply equally well to other relational scenarios, be that within a family, in business partnerships or for close friends.

Fees

Fees range from £60-£70. Therapy sessions last for 50 minutes for both individuals and couples. I review my pricing policy annually in August.

I operate a 48 hour cancellation policy.

Supervision for Counsellors, Pyschotherapists and Coaches

For those seeking support in heading towards accreditation through BACP, COSCA, or certification as a Transactional Analyst and registration with UKCP, I can help you to ensure you are adequately prepared and that you gain the most from your experience.

I am endorsed to teach and supervise other TA Counsellors and Psychotherapists and am registered as a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (PTSTA).

I hold a diploma in TA Supervision gained at the Metanoia Training Institute in London. I also worked as a teaching apprentice for 3 years on both their diploma and TA psychotherapy programs. After gaining that experience I became a lead tutor at Metanoia for a further 3 years.

I find that my experience as a senior manager in the corporate world compliments my supervision work. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to this work, I can support you according to your development and supervisory needs.
